Jose Cuevas serves as the Lead Instructor at Astor Baseball League, where he specializes in hitting development and oversees daily baseball operations. With a strong foundation built through high-level playing experience, Cuevas brings a professional approach to player development, combining discipline, technique, and game intelligence. Cuevas played collegiate baseball at Lee University, where he refined his skills and established himself as a well-rounded player. His performance earned him selection by the San Francisco Giants in the 29th round of the 2010 MLB June Amateur Draft, marking a major milestone in his baseball career. At Astor, Cuevas is known for his ability to develop hitters of all levels, focusing on mechanics, timing, approach, and confidence at the plate. Beyond hitting, he plays a key leadership role in running operations, ensuring programs are executed at a high standard and athletes receive professional-level training. Aneylo Rosario is a dedicated pitching coach at Sluggers Baseball Academy with a strong background in both collegiate and professional baseball. Known for his deep understanding of pitching mechanics and athlete development, Rosario brings years of playing experience into his coaching, helping athletes elevate their performance on the mound. With a passion for teaching and mentoring, Aneylo specializes in pitching development, focusing on mechanics, velocity, control, and mental approach. He also plays a key role in strength and conditioning, ensuring players build the physical foundation needed to compete at a high level while reducing the risk of injury. Over the years, Rosario has worked extensively with youth athletes, guiding them through every stage of their development. His hands-on coaching style, attention to detail, and commitment to discipline have made him a trusted leader within the Sluggers program. Pedro Michel López (born April 28, 1984) is a Dominican former professional baseball shortstop who played in Major League Baseball with the Chicago White Sox (2005) and the Cincinnati Reds (2007). Known for his defensive instincts, quick hands, and strong infield awareness, López built his career on consistency and discipline at the shortstop position. Today, Pedro López serves as the Lead Fielding Instructor, Coach, and Trainer at Astor Baseball, where he plays a vital role in player development and daily operations. Bringing his professional experience to the field, he specializes in infield fundamentals, footwork, glove work, and game situational awareness. López is dedicated to developing players of all levels, helping them sharpen their defensive skills while building confidence and baseball IQ. In addition to training, he is deeply involved in the day-to-day operations at Astor, ensuring a high standard of instruction and a professional training environment. His passion for the game and commitment to excellence make him a key leader within the program, shaping the next generation of athletes both on and off the field.
